 Difference between MC and USDOT

You’re going to transport cargo between states (interstate commerce).
You’re going to operate as a broker.
You’re going to transport cargo regulated by clearing.

You don’t need one if:

You only handle administrative clearance and don’t assume legal responsibility for the cargo.
You operate solely within one state (in some specific cases).
